Yes. There's no charge and no obligation. You'll get an honest read on your roof whether or not you hire us.
Most single-family homes take under an hour, depending on roof size, pitch, and how much there is to document.
It helps, so we can walk you through what we found, but we can work around your schedule.
What we check during your inspection
A roof is a system, not just a layer of shingles, so we look at all of it. Our inspection starts on the ground with the gutters, downspouts, and fascia, then moves up to the surface itself. We examine shingle condition and granule wear, look for lifted tabs and creased edges from high wind, and check every penetration where water likes to sneak in.
- Shingles or metal panels: cracking, curling, missing pieces, exposed fasteners, and hail bruising.
- Flashing: chimneys, walls, skylights, and valleys, where most leaks begin.
- Vents and boots: pipe boots dry out and split in Oklahoma sun faster than most people expect.
- Decking and attic signs: soft spots underfoot, daylight through boards, or water staining where we can access it.
- Gutters and drip edge: granules piling up in the gutters can tell us a lot about how a roof is aging.
Signs it's time to have your roof looked at
Central Oklahoma throws a lot at a house. Spring brings hail that can bruise a shingle without leaving anything you'd notice from the yard. Straight-line winds peel edges back and break the seal strip that holds each shingle flat. Summer heat bakes the asphalt, and winter freeze cycles work at any weak spot that's already there.
If you've had a storm roll through recently, if you see shingle pieces in the yard, if there's a new stain on a ceiling, or if your neighbors are getting new roofs, it's worth a look. The same goes for buying or selling a home, or simply not knowing how old your current roof is.
What happens after we inspect
Once we come down, we sit down with you and go through what we saw. You'll see the photos. If repairs make sense, we'll explain what we'd do and why. If replacement is the better call, we'll tell you that plainly and give you the reasons. And if your roof is in good shape, we'll say so and be on our way.
No pressure, ever
Buck didn't start IPE to push people into jobs they don't need. Our reputation is built in the communities around Oklahoma City, one homeowner at a time, and that only works if we're honest. Take your time, ask questions, get other opinions if you'd like. We'll still pick up when you call back.

When it's safe to do so, we go up. Many problems, like cracked seals around vents or bruised shingles from hail, can't be seen from the driveway.
Hail leaves telltale marks: dented vents and gutters, granule loss, and soft spots in the shingle mat. We look for all of those and photograph what we find.
Then we tell you that. A clean bill of health is a perfectly good outcome, and you'll know where your roof stands going into the next storm season.
